Autumn/Winter 2012-13

Shades for Eye and Lips

After a year in the Philippines, where only two Seasons exist (a scorching hot Summer, and a rainy Summer), then coming back to the wonderful Summer we’ve been having here in Toronto, I am so not ready to welcome Fall yet. I’m glad that I’m not working behind the scenes in the Cosmetics Marketing Industry anymore (yet). There, I often had to be seasons in advance: working on Christmas and Winter Collections and Holiday Gifts in June, and choosing from Spring Collections for the following year, before Autumn even arrived, in the current year!

Thanks to some talented Beauty Bloggers and the web, I’ve already been seeing lots of Fall Collection posts. I even went out to play at Holt Renfrew, a few days ago. (As usual, I went straight to Nars and Laura Mercier). It was nice to see some old friends and colleagues and of course, I didn’t leave empty handed! But I stayed clear of the Fall items for now, and stuck to my replenishing shopping list. I have enough stash for now and will wait until I’m done organizing my makeup space…But it’s always good to stay on top of what’s going on in this Industry!

Fall Collections are great for makeup artists, who prefer to play up the eyes, or who love both smoldering rich eye makeup, and luxurious deep berry shaded pouts!

Here’s just a couple of links from other bloggers who have posted about their fave Fall 2012 brands and Collections already: Make Up 4 All‘s website and The Glitter Geek‘s Fall teaser. Check out her other posts, too!

Meanwhile, I decided to put together this slideshow of some of the more wearable runway Beauty looks for Autumn/Winter 2012-13, from my In Trend magazine. Click pause if you want a closer look. Which one(s) are your faves?
