ELLE Canada – Beauty Box Fall 2013

Hi All,

Yesterday afternoon I received 2 parcels in the mail and one of them was this pretty powder pink box with a rose design all over it! I thought it was a boxed fragrance at first (or something from Lancome?) Must’ve been the rose.

Then, the pms-ing part of me thought perhaps it was a box of cupcakes! Wrong again… It was even better. The Elle Canada Beauty Box Fall 2013, had arrived, filled with these goodies for me to ‘sample, slather and size up’ as my Mission statement said in the card inside.

xThe Elle Canada Beauty Box Mission: 1)Sample the products, 2) Tell Elle Canada about them, 3) Visit the new Beauty HQ for trends and tips 4) Join @ElleCanada on twitter

So glad my first Elle Canada Beauty Box had practical beauty products in them! (This is a busy couple of weeks for me, so I set out to complete my Beauty Mission right away)…IMG_2161

Anyone else love this Look Book? Love looking at photos of trends and makeup looks. This mini booklet was full of F/W's hottest trends and recommended products. Really like how it shows the Before and After shots of the models ;)

Was a bit sad that the "sample" was in the form of a 'Free razor offer' with a purchase, but I've used Gilette Venus razors before, so I'm sure it's fantastic, especially the Olay (tried & tested) version in Sugarberry boosts. Sounds yummy - scented and smooth gams in a flash. (Shame we only have a week of summer weather left to show'em off though).

CoverGirl Outlast Stay Brilliant Nail Gloss in limited edition shade: Sangria No need for top coat, cute shade, super glossy, loved the brush, 2nd day and still looks great...We'll see if it really lasts up to a week. So far.. LOVE it. Can't wait to check out the other 27 shades!

The VS Shampoo and Conditioner, and the Crest 3D White 2-hour Whitestrips would probably be better off reviewed after at least 2-3 more uses, and the CoverGirl Stay Brilliant Glosstinis in Sangria will be tested against the usual glam mommy tasks this week (all this typing included). Will it last all week, you think? (I think, yes). And I’ll spare the whole world from photos of my legs- Before and After shaving with Gillette Venus with Olay, haha. Trust me, it works so great there’s no going back after you’ve tried it.

Overall Verdict: These beauty all-stars deserve their title. They’re all winners in my opinion.

Thanks, Elle Canada!
