Reflecting … Quality Time with Family is what I enjoy most about the Holidays
I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas with your loved ones. My thoughts and prayers went out to my family who are thousands of miles apart. As well as those who are having a difficult time of it, especially this time of year. People and communities missing their loved ones, grieving a terrible loss, and not knowing how- but having to rebuild a life that will never be the same again.
Now that gifts have been opened and we have a few days before New Year’s Celebrations begin. I thought I’d share my simple thoughts and ask everyone to take a few seconds to think of those who aren’t as fortunate as we may be..Those whose thoughts couldn’t be farther from lipstick, blush and nail polish, because they’re so crushed by their losses. I’m talking about… Newtown Connecticut…NY and New Jersey and other places recently hit by Super Storm Sandy…Southern Philippine cities hit by major storms*…The war and unrest in Syria, Democratic Republic of Congo, Darfur, Libya, Mali, Nigeria, Somalia, Afghanistan, the Koreas, The Philippine Regular Army and the islamic separatist group- Abu Sayyaf..And other places at war in Europe Africa and Asia.
Before I blog about the next Makeup Trend, or a Brand’s latest Collection and as another year comes to an end. I cherish every moment I have with my child and family and remember how blessed I am, to have this gift of love and life. I encourage you all to do the same ..
Merry Christmas and a Peaceful and Happy 2013 to us All!
