I don’t do quick posts often- but this will be one. (I just heard a bunch of you sigh in relief!)
I mentioned in my previous posts that I recently bought a new light kit. I’ve been meaning to for a while now, but as the days became shorter, early gig call times and after-office client trials, were often hampered by insufficient lighting..and horribly yellow lit rooms in my basement pad. So, I visited Glamcor and purchased one of their bestselling Light Kits, which are on a special price for $250.00 (Reg $365.00) with FREE shipping to Canada/USA.
I’ll let Erik, the CEO of Glamcor tell you more about it here. I am so impressed with their customer service (received direct emails from Erik regarding my dual voltage needs) and I absolutely love my new lights! Check out the specs from their website here:
The world’s top professionals won’t leave home without it.
Our Classic Light Kit is an international best seller to makeup artists. Who knew it would also be adopted by video enthusiasts, tattoo artists, manicurists, the hair industry, and photographers? Why? Because our lamps are cool LED technology and are color balanced not to distort the color of the skin/hair or color being applied to it. We solved a major problem with portable lightweight cool lighting, and we welcome you to watch the associated short video on all of the functionality.
Used by industry giants like MAC, Bobbi Brown, Hourglass, Inglot, Temptu, Make Up For Ever, Illamasqua, Smashbox, Eve Pearl, Graftobian, (really, the list goes on and includes the biggest MUAs).
- No “cool down” period. Once you are finished you can pack it and go!
- Dual voltage 100-240AC
- Super lightweight: 5lbs/2.25kg
The Classic Light Kit includes the following:
(1) Fully flexible luminary
(2) GLAMCOR Color-balanced LED lamps
(1) Lightweight polished aluminum telescopic stand
(1) Power cord
(1) Carry bag with trolley sleeve
I used it in creating the 2 Holiday looks in my previous posts, so if you look carefully at the collages of me in makeup- you’ll see where the lights are on and off just by seeing how bright and clean some pictures look, compared to the more dim and ashy-looking photos when the lights were off. I’m still experimenting with them. I didn’t have them centered in the bottom right photos. Best position so far, is to have the lights centered, on either side of the face just at ear level. The Luminary, which holds the Glamcor LED lights are fully flexible, so you can easily adjust their positions, as well as change the height of the telescopic light-weight stand. (Note: Our walls and overhead lighting gives off a yellow glow. Not ideal for makeup!)
I can’t wait to save up and get the Multi Media Pro Light Kit, next. Check it out on their website glamcor.com or go to my Makeup and Beauty shopping site to browse through other lighting ideas, like the fab makeup kit with lighted mirror studio by NYX.
Best Holiday Gift a makeup artist could get this Christmas (even if it arrives just after).
